You will recieve three grades for your work this week:
    1.  Grade for your Notebook   (part I)
    2.  Grade for a Biogems web page report  (Part II)
    3.  Grade for behavior and independent working (depends the teacher's report)


Part I   Faults in the Field Expedition to California
This week you will be able to follow along as student from six schools for the deaf learn about faults and earthquakes in California. 
You will do daily assignments related to the trip.

WHAT TO DO...  Each day work on this:

  Monday

1.  Read the World Around you article and write a summary in your notebook


  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

1.  Learn what's happening on the Expedition: 
              Read the blog entry for each day.  Include the date.
              Write a summary in your notebook.  Write d
own any questions you have.
              Comment on the student's writings.  Ask questions, give feedback, express ideas.
              On at least two days during the week leave your comments on the blog.

2.  Answer a question: 
             Each day read the GeoQuiz (linked from the blog) and respond with your answer.
             Write the question and answers in your notebook.   

3.  Vocabulary:  Each day copy the vocabulary words and write the meaning, in your notebook.


Your notebook with summaries, quiz answers and vocabulary is due Monday May 12



Part IIBioGems - Saving Endangered Wild Places

During the week you will work on a project to learn about a specific natural environment on Earth called a Biogem.
You will select one Biogem and write a report about it.

    1.  Read and follow the directions on the Biogems
project guide. 

    2.  Your report is due on May 11.   Link your report to your online portfolio.

    3.  On Monday, May 12 be prepared to tell the class what you learned about the environment.
