Earth Systems Analysis web page


Your Earth Systems Analysis page will have 4 parts:

Part I     Event => Sphere  connections

           Read your scenario  and find connections.   Pick the main event in your scenario.  Write examples of how the event is connected to each of the spheres.

Part II     Sphere => Sphere  connections
          How are the spheres connected to other spheres in your scenario?  Follow the chart your group created.

Part III    Causal Chains:        Event => Sphere=> Sphere=> Sphere  (etc)
           Show linked connections in the Earth system.  How are the sphere and event connections linked to each other?  How many chain links can you make?
            
Part IV   Examples of Matter cycles, Energy flows, Life webs
            One of the big ideas we learned this year is  "Matter cycles, Energy flows, and Life webs."    Give a specific example for each part of that idea... one example of matter cycling, one example of energy flowing, and one example of life webbing.   Explain each example clearly - prove you point (50 words or more for each example).

 
General Directions:  

•    Here is an example of an Earth System Analysis.  The scenario is about a forest fire.  This page has all three parts. 
  

•    Use arrows to show the connections  ( <=>   or    )


•    Include a few pictures to illustrate some of the connections (you don't have to do a lot of pictures)


•    Link you System Analysis page to your online Portfolio

•    Your grade for this project will be determined using this rubric.


•    Your web page is due Friday,  June 6.
