Mountain Precipitation

Research Question: Which mountains have the most precipitation - the Appalachian Mountains or the Rocky Mountains?

Importance of This Question: Knowledge of the answer will help us see which locale is more suited for agrarian societies (and skiing).

Hypothesis: We think the Appalachians get more rain than the Rockies.

Data:





Conclusion:

These data prove that the Rockies produce more precipitation than the Appalachians. Our hypothesis was proven to be false.

Suggestions for Additional Research:

Look at each side of the Rocky Mountains and the Appalachians in a limited area and see which side has more precipitation.
