We do it without thinking…breathe in, breathe out. But just how clean is the air? How can we measure the conditions of our air?

MSSD students are studying ozone and haze levels as part of the GLOBE Program.   They are participating in a project to study ozone sensitive plants with Dr. Irene Ladd,  NASA Langley, and Susan Sachs, Great Smokey Mountatin National Park.  This year they will grow ozone sensitive plants and learn how to recognize ozone damage on the plant leaves.   The project involves students in science research with scientists which will help improve our understanding of planet Earth.
