Lab Report on Speed

1)      Question

a.  My Partner, Jodi Bingham, and I were working on speed with velocity.

We have to clap 5 times to make the thing, Franklinstein hand, moving.

2)      Hypothesis

a.       I assumed that there will be a various time in different velocity.

3)      Procedure and Materials

a.       We used metric system to measure the distance of Franklinstein hand’s move, tape to show where it starts and ends, and timer to measure the time. We also used two different textures to compare the differences.

4)      Formulas

a.       We used the formula to solve for M/S, KM/S, and MPH (symbols: %- divides, X- Multiplies)

I.E. M/S:          2.364 cm % 1 sec X 1 m % 100 cm =

                        2.364 cm % 1000 m =

 .02364 meter/ second

I.E. KM/S:      .02364 m % 1 sec X 1 km % 1000 m =

                        .02364 m % 1000 m =

                                    .00002364 kilometer/ second

I.E. MPH:        .00002364 km % 1m X 1 mi % 1.609 km =

                        .00002364 km % 1.609 km =

                                    1.469 X 10-5 mph

6) Conclusion- My hypothesis was not quite right. I thought that this technology thing would move in different velocity, but I found it very hard to believe that it went straightly. It went northwest. We were working together to see if our hypothesis has proven right, but it was wrong. My very first experiment, my hypothesis was right, but at this time it was wrong. It was an interesting experiment. We have expanded our experiences in lab since we first attended this class.
